= Question 1 - Was he (Yates) or any Police officer aware that a computer used or accessed by Police officers directly connected to operation Abelard 2 was infected with a computer Trojan virus and information was unlawfully extracted by persons other than serving police officers?

Answer - Yes, we are aware of a virus. No, we are not aware of any information being extracted by persons other than serving police officers.

= Question 2 - Was he (Yates) or any Police officer aware of a Fax document and/or receipt for transmission recovered or identified during operation (2) that was transmitted to a Republic of Ireland telephone number 00353 1479 2520 and for the avoidance of any doubt the telephone number is Dublin Eire 1 4792520?

Answer - We are not aware of any fax and/or receipt for transmission recovered or identified during operation Abelard 2, the investigation into the murder of Daniel Morgan that was transmitted to the given number.

Question 3 - Should an officer of the Metropolitan Police become aware of criminality, or a suspected crime is brought to the attention of an officer - are they legally obliged to act and or investigate and importantly do the Police have a duty to inform the victim.

Question 4 - Equally are there any laws or police regulations that would impose a legal or other compulsion upon an officer of the Metropolitan Police to act or investigate such an act of criminality of which the officer acquires knowledge.
